Our Process

A GTL Lighting Building Facade or Landscape installation is designed to ensure a seamless, high-quality outcome tailored to the client’s vision and site requirements.

1. Initial Consultation and Site Assessment
   GTL’s team meets with the client to understand project goals, aesthetic preferences, and functional needs for the facade or landscape. A thorough site survey is conducted to evaluate architectural features, landscape elements, existing lighting, electrical infrastructure, and environmental factors like surrounding light pollution or vegetation.
2. Photometric Analysis and Design Proposal
   Using advanced photometric software, GTL engineers create a detailed lighting plan, simulating light distribution, intensity, and coverage. The design includes fixture types, placement, and color temperatures to enhance the facade or landscape while ensuring energy efficiency and compliance with local codes. A proposal with 3D renderings and footcandle calculations is presented to the client for approval.
3. Fixture Selection and Customization
   Based on the approved design, GTL selects high-quality, energy-efficient fixtures suited to the project’s aesthetic and performance needs. Options like LED spotlights, wall washers, or path lights are chosen for durability and minimal maintenance. Custom solutions, such as specific beam angles or color options, are sourced if required.
4. Electrical and Infrastructure Planning
   We  plan wiring, power supply, and control systems (e.g., dimmers or smart lighting). For landscapes, underground cabling and weatherproofing are prioritized. For facades, mounting solutions are designed to integrate seamlessly with the building’s architecture.
5. Pre-Installation Testing and Mock-Ups
   Before full installation, GTL conducts on-site mock-ups or lab tests to verify lighting effects, ensuring the real-world outcome matches the photometric design. Adjustments to fixture angles, brightness, or placement are made as needed to achieve the desired effect.
6. Installation and Fixture Placement
   GTL’s technicians install fixtures according to the approved plan, ensuring precise alignment and secure mounting. For facades, fixtures are attached to walls, soffits, or ground mounts to highlight architectural details. For landscapes, lights are strategically placed to illuminate trees, pathways, or features while concealing hardware for a clean look.
7. System Integration and Programming
   Lighting control systems, such as timers, sensors, or smart controls and BAS interfaces, are installed and programmed for optimal performance. This step ensures energy savings and allows clients to adjust lighting for different times or events, enhancing flexibility for both facades and landscapes.
8. Final Testing and Adjustments
   After installation, GTL conducts a comprehensive walkthrough to test light output, coverage, and controls. Fixtures are fine-tuned to eliminate glare, hotspots, or shadows, ensuring the lighting meets the client’s expectations and design specifications.
9. Client Handover and Training
   GTL provides the client with a detailed project report, including maintenance guidelines and warranty information. Training is offered on operating control systems, and recommendations for routine upkeep (e.g., cleaning lenses or checking connections) are shared to ensure long-term performance.
10. Post-Installation Support and Maintenance
    GTL offers ongoing support, including periodic inspections and maintenance services, to keep the lighting system in peak condition. For landscapes, seasonal adjustments may be made to account for plant growth. For facades, GTL ensures fixtures remain aligned and functional, addressing any issues promptly.
